UBC Botanical Garden,  Vancouver

The University of British Columbia's Botanical Garden is a wonderful place to explore on a Segway.  80 Acres of rare trees and plants, an intricate system of trails, and a tree top walkway for a squirrel's eye view of the forest.

UBC Botanical Garden is a "hidden gem" where visitors can expect a quiet visit away from crowds. A stimulating learning experience rich with interesting plants and an informative guide. The Asian Garden holds rare plants from all over Asia, an elaborate display of alpine plants and flowers covers the entire eastern boundary of the property, overlooking a replica 16th century medicine garden of healing plants.

An old fashioned food garden like Grandma used to keep, and an entire broadleaf Carolinian Forest, a new feature in the Botanical Garden, consisting of twelve individual groves each named for an early North American plant explorer, are always popular with visitors.
